bug #3 and #5 memory issues

This is really a show-stopper for production.

I'm working on getting like 80G up to S3 in 5M
chunks, but I'm constantly ending up with the
fail mode.  I'm not sure if it's the chunker
or list of files/permissions causing it.  It
still resulted in the same fail even with
the incremental metafile patch. (was there
a flag I was supposed to set in .brackup.conf
that I missed maybe?)

I've started breaking up the TARGETS into
smaller pieces with excessive usage of the
ignore, but that's just meaning that it's
multiple hammering of disk to get the same
info.
