Problem in receiving chat and User status is not authorized

Have you tried subscribing the users to each others presence (aka adding
them to each others buddy lists)?

You configuration should work fine.  As I am runnign djabberd on CentOS
4.5 with pidgin as the client (Linux and Win32)
