three basic questions

Hi,

I just discovered this and it may be the answer to my problems,
I am trying to run a perl app that needs to handle 10GB+ of data
in a DB hash.

Three questions:

1) So if I need, say, 20 GB of storage, I would run ten machines
each with a 2GB memory cache?

2) But ~2-4 GB is the virtual memory limit per machine (limited
by the operating system)?

3) Is it possible to build the daemon on windows machines, or
is this a unix only type thing?

Thanks!

-Alan
