Regarding Live Journal Setup

Hi all,

 

Whenever a memcached node gets added or deleted, how does livejournal.com
handle it? 

Does it remove the server from the memcache client server list?

If so, then do they flush out the cache or do they use consistent hashing
(or some proprietary hashing) scheme? 

Please let me know your comments on this.
