Almost relevant:  I've started using svnmerge.py instead of svk for  
"intra-repository" merges and it's much much nicer for that purpose.   
For cross-repository merges you need svk, but svnmerge.py can do  
merges within a repository without the random blowups and corruption- 
esque weirdness svk comes with.

(I haven't tried svk 2.0 though, maybe it's better there)
