Being able to use epoll is by itself reason enough to switch to 2.6.<br>

Which web setups are you referring to? The distributions I use on my
desktops and with our dedicated host providers have no issue with
giving a 2.6 kernel.<br>

And if you do, libevent won't be able to use epoll, which will severely
