realtime device balancing

hi,

i read about mogileFS realtime device balancing in this blog post

and was wondering if the current version of mogileFS already has some 
realtime loadbalancing built in. i was checking the device table and 
found that the weight column already exists. does the tracker use this 
information to store files in a balanced way or does it just pick random 
nodes?
