Patch looks perfect. I seem to recall making a similar patch (with a rebless utility function) but couldn't find it, so glad you did this.<br><br>Let me clean some stuff up in the current perlbal svn and then do a release with this patch. (assuming it still passes tests with 5.8 .... :-))<br>

</div>The main problem is that you can't rebless a hash that's been created<br>
with fields::new on Perl 5.10. Here's a patch that I think fixes the<br>
problem. All tests now pass on 5.8.8 and 5.10. I'd be grateful if<br>
someone could have a look at it and make sure I haven't done anything<br>
too insane :)<br>

Assuming it's OK (or can be made so) we need to get the code to RedHat<br>
by Monday. It's OK to give them patched code that hasn't been released<br>
to CPAN although, in that case, it'd be good to at least give it a<br>
