ya-yadis?

Hi Everyone,

I noticed the yadis site today - I've implemented a similar system recently.  I wish I had some real docs to point you at, but right now there are just a few obfuscatory sentences at http://www.divmod.org/projects/q2q .  I hope to have some time to update the site soon, and to do a release of the software.

I'd like to figure out a way to make it compatible with yadis.  The only major incompatibility I see is that we're using things that look like email addresses to identify users whereas yadis uses HTTP URLs.  Is there some easy way to reconcile this?

I am trying to keep the protocol spec I am writing as lightweight as possible - intentionally not involving DNS at any layer except a domain's root so that site administrators can run an identity server as a "sidecar" to their existing configuration rather than modifying their site.
