Um....  yadis at lists.danga.com also goes to websites (archive), and does not
uniquely identify a single user.  And there are protocols that _happen_ to
use SMTP (and therefore rfc[2]822 identifiers), but are not meant for people
(such as the SOAP-email binding [1])

URLs (or more generally URIs), identify _resources_ which may or may not
have a transport protocol (and may not even be dereferencable)
