I don't know about how Redirect on a POST might work, but
with standard redirects, one is limited to sending data responses
in the URL, which has its limitations.

But within these limitations, I've slapped together a simple example
to help clarify the thinking.
I've used openid.schtuff's libraries and hacked the examples/simple.cgi
