The OpenID specification[1] has no version number. The only reference
to version number that I could dig up was in a comment in Brad's Perl
implementation[2] and a discussion about whether to include a version
number in the protocol[3].

I'm not opposed to (in fact I'm in favor of) giving the OpenID
protocol an explicit version number, and 1.1 is fine by me, but I just
thought I'd point out that one does not currently exist.
