That's right.

The champions during the design were the folks who met in Berkeley 
and again in San Francisco to hammer out the protocol.  The champions 
during the editing were 1) the folks who implemented (that's the 
proof of a protocol) and 2) the folks who commented and corrected 
(foremost the folks at JanRain, who sent a stream of important 
comments and corrections).
