<font size=3>Thanks, Dick. I appreciate it.<br><br>
I do get the distinction between another program asking my program for
data and my program sending data to those I want to know. There is
one obvious advantage to the latter. Your message suggested there
were disadvantages, too ('issue' is often used to mean problem or
bug). It's learning the several advantages and disadvantages that
interests me. (And of course, nailing down the context and meanings
(RSS is push. RSS is pull (and, just today another dimension of
ambiguity has appeared on the list (who has control of the movement of
the data))).<br><br>

<blockquote type=cite class=cite cite="">OpenID, LID and XRI are all
"Pull" oriented architectures. In my discussions, I have not
felt there was interest in learning the issues of a "Push"
oriented architecture.</blockquote><br>
I'd like to learn the issues of a push oriented
architecture.</font></blockquote></blockquote><br>
Cordially, Joaquin<br><br>
