I just added Alex's change to use stringprep for JID comparison:

This should put us back roughly where we were when I made the 0.85_01 
release to CPAN. However, to keep everything sane we should probably cut 
a new 0.85_02 release to CPAN and delete this 0.85_01 release that is 
not represented at all in our canonical history.
