No way to clear stats?

I'm about to deploy an updated version of our OR layer that supports 
memcached .  I want to clear the stats to I can verify that its working 
in production.

There isn't a "clear stats" command or equivalent if I read protocol.txt 
correctly.

Any ETA for this?  Seems like a good idea.
