per-user memcached via local domain sockets? didn't hear anything back

Is there any interest at all in the patches I sent? I'd very much like
to use this locally, but don't want to create yet another set of patches
that I have to maintain locally with no external interest...

The patch itself was very simple - and just allowed memcached to bind to
a unix domain socket instead of a TCP socket.
