Crash from libmemcache

I actually used libmemcache for awhile, and never noticed any problems.
Afaik, it's still running at Plaxo, where I helped set it up.

My impressions with this lib is that it's quite buggy.  Sadly it seems 
that it's no longer maintained and some critical issues still exist in 
the latest version.

I'd love to know if there are any alternatives, except apr_memcache.
