there's no authentication in memcached, so you'll have to run a
separate daemon on each port. i am not sure if there are ways to only
allow certain users to connect to certain ports (local or remote) ...
i'm sure there's some crazy firewalling or apparmor stuff, but that
would be out of the scope of this list.
