CDNs & MogileFS

For what it's worth, I've used both CDN's (Akamai and Speedera, which
akamai later bought), and now just MogileFS.

In our setup, it's much cheaper to just use Mogile. My own reasons were:

- No "cache bursts" overloading our own systems.
- We'd need something like MogileFS anyway to store all the images in a
consumable format.
- No caching-related display latency, and we can update images en-masse
very quickly.

If you hit some sites using a CDN in an area which hasn't been hit
before, it can take a long time to load everything up. It made sense for
us to not bother and use cheap bandwidth directly.
