'ob state' is readable in checking devices list

Did you upgrade your mogstored's?

Do you have a /var/mogdata/devNN/test-write/ dir? Are there files in it?

strace your monitor job and see what's going on. It might be failing to
write test files to mogstored, and is the only place I can think of
which would actually mark a device as observed readable instead of down
or writeable.

There's another simple suggestion, but I don't recall what it is right now?
