Custom HTTP header

Does anybody know what the current standard (or failing that, best
practice) is for adding custom HTTP headers on the server-to-client leg.

http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2774.txt
seems to have been proposed and never passed?

In other words: is our HTTP header going to be
     X-YADIS-Location: http://example.com/yadis.xml
or
     Opt: "http://yadis.org/"; ns=71
        71-yadis-location: http://example.com/yadis.xml
or something else?
