Trusting

We need to be careful to distinguish between:
   -- trusting your site
          (necessary)
and
   -- trusting that your site can't be hacked
         (tell me more).

I feel it also helpful to keep in mind the correct meaning of 
'trusted system.'  (Or, if you don't like "correct," then the 
original and still standard meaning.)  There is rampant misuse of 
this term, which would be OK, except that it leads to foggy thinking 
about security.

A trusted system is one which you have no choice but to trust.
