I imagine that'll happen soon enough. At first there was just the Perl
client and server, and I maintained both, so it was easier.

That's fixed in CVS. I'll make a new release soon.

I plan on making a perl front-end which tracks pids, pid files, conf
files, stop/start etc.

I don't know PHP, so I'll wait for the PHP client maintainer to read and
approve the patch. (Ryan... look good?)
