Memcache does not provide Port

     Hi fellows,
        
        after I installed the new 1.2.2 Memcached Version none of my
        sites where able to use it, since it seems that the connection
        to the port I entered in /etc/conf.d/memcached is always re-
        fused.
        
        I tried to start memcached manually with the -p parameter.
        Every-
        thing worked fine.
        
        What might be wrong. Please help.
