Empty memcached from time to time

Hi people,

I installed memcached last weak, after having lots of
troubles, changing the application, to make it run with
memcached, everything does nearly run fine.

As I often make changes to the application, and a couple
of the modules and frontends are getting cached, I would
like to know, how i can delete memcached from time to time.

And another question is, is memcached deleted, when i re-
start the memcached server.
