I've got a simpler fix, that's relevant to partitioning fsck for
parallel anyway.
When starting an fsck, simply snapshot #total and maxfid, as the points
at which the fsck that is being initiated will end. (So files added
after the fsck is started are only checked when the next fsck is
initiated).
For one of my Mogile domains with 1M files, I have a daily turnover of
300k fids, not evenly distributed. Other installs of Mogile might have
higher turnover rates, but that's why I was looking at the progress
indicator.
