Yes, I agree. This is confounded further by the fact that the mailing
list is called YADIS but most people joined it for OpenID, and the GMane
newsgroup associated with it is called "openid.general".

There isn't really any nice way out of this unless the GMane folks can
be persuaded to change the configuration of the openid newsgroup there
to use this hypothetical new OpenID list instead.

Having said all that, OpenID is essentially "done" now, so it could be
argued that it no longer needs a mailing list. :)
