Hi,
This is just to note that there is somebody wanting to take Digital
Idenitities to the IETF to get it out into a standard method.
You will thus very likely be quite interrested in keeping an eye on it
and discussing there to get your views into it.
As per: https://www1.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/dix
8<------------------------------------------------
Discussion of protocols and schema for exchange of digital
identity information.
------------------------------------------------>8
What I understood there might be bar-BOF at the next IETF in Vancouver,
which will most likely lead into a real BOF in Dallas in February 2006
which then in turn might turn into a real IETF Working Group...
Currently it is just a 'mailing list', but it might grow quite bigger.
The effort is driven by the SXIP guys who want to push SXIP 2.0 to
become a standard, give feedback and push them in a direction you also
like to see going... IETF is an open process, free and for everyone with
technical arguments and nothing is in stone yet, far from even ;)
Greets,
Jeroen
