CPAN vs. subversion/tarballs

Hi all,

Just started playing with DJabberd (looks fun!) and had a 
newbie question: in terms of getting semi-stable 'release'
code, is the current plan to distribute DJabberd via CPAN,
or will there be tarballs or something based off of the
subversion code?

The homepage http://www.danga.com/djabberd/ still seems to 
reference just pulling from subversion, and doesn't mention
CPAN at all, so thought I'd ask.
